# Privacy Policy for Gardening Journal **Effective Date: August 18, 2026** **Last Updated: August 18, 2026** Bikin Software operates the **Gardening Journal** mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Gardening Journal, including information stored locally on your device and information that may be processed by third-party services used by the application. By using Gardening Journal, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. ## 1. Information Stored on Your Device Gardening Journal is primarily designed as an offline application. Information you create in the app may include: * Plant names and plant details * Plant locations * Gardening journal entries * Watering schedules * Fertilizing, pruning, repotting, and other care reminders * Plant health scores * Growth measurements * Growth timeline photos * Notes and observations * Application preferences * Reminder settings This gardening information is stored locally on your device. Bikin Software does not operate a cloud account system for Gardening Journal and does not automatically upload your gardening journal, plant records, or growth timeline information to our servers. ## 2. Photos and Camera Access Gardening Journal allows you to add photos of your plants and growth progress. The app may request access to: * Your device camera * Photos or media that you choose from your device These permissions are used only when you choose to add or change a plant or growth timeline photo. Selected plant photos are stored locally for use within Gardening Journal. Gardening Journal does not automatically upload your personal plant photos to Bikin Software servers. ## 3. Notifications Gardening Journal may request permission to send notifications. Notifications are used for features such as: * Watering reminders * Fertilizing reminders * Pruning reminders * Repotting reminders * Custom plant care reminders You can disable notifications at any time through the application settings or your Android device settings. ## 4. Advertising The free version of Gardening Journal may display advertisements. Gardening Journal uses **Google AdMob**, provided by Google, to display advertisements including: * Banner advertisements * Interstitial advertisements * Rewarded advertisements * App open advertisements Google Mobile Ads may automatically process certain device and usage information for purposes such as delivering advertisements, measuring advertising performance, analytics, security, and fraud prevention. Depending on your device, location, consent choices, and Google settings, this information may include: * IP address * Device or advertising identifiers * App interactions * Ad interactions * Diagnostic information * Device information * Approximate location derived from IP address Where required, Gardening Journal may display a privacy or consent message before requesting personalized advertising. Users who purchase an eligible Gardening Journal Premium plan will not be shown advertisements while their Premium entitlement remains active. ## 5. Google User Messaging Platform Gardening Journal uses Google's User Messaging Platform where required to manage advertising privacy choices and consent. Depending on your country or region, you may be presented with options regarding personalized advertising, advertising data usage, or other privacy choices. If available for your region, you can review or change these choices using the **Privacy Options** section inside Gardening Journal. ## 6. Premium Purchases and Subscriptions Gardening Journal offers optional Premium products, which may include: * Monthly Premium subscription * Yearly Premium subscription * Lifetime Premium purchase Purchases are processed through **Google Play Billing**. Bikin Software does not receive or store your full credit card or bank payment details. Google Play processes the transaction and provides the application with information necessary to determine the status of your purchase or subscription. Purchase-related information may be used to: * Activate Premium features * Restore previous purchases * Determine whether a subscription is active * Remove advertisements for Premium users * Provide access to Premium functionality Subscription billing, cancellations, refunds, and payment methods are managed through Google Play. ## 7. Free Trials Eligible users may receive a free trial for certain Premium subscriptions. Trial eligibility, billing, renewal, and cancellation are managed by Google Play. Unless canceled before the end of the trial period, a subscription may automatically continue as a paid subscription according to the terms displayed by Google Play during checkout. ## 8. Rewarded Advertisements Free users may optionally choose to watch a rewarded advertisement in exchange for an in-app benefit, such as temporary additional plant capacity. Watching rewarded advertisements is optional. Premium users are not required to watch rewarded advertisements to use Premium features. ## 9. PDF and Excel Export Gardening Journal allows users to export gardening information to PDF or Excel files. Exported files may contain information you entered in the application. When you choose to share or save an exported file using another application or service, that external application or service may process the file according to its own privacy policy. You are responsible for deciding where exported files are stored or shared. ## 10. Data Sharing Bikin Software does not sell your gardening journal, plant records, growth photos, or personal notes. Certain data may be processed by third-party services necessary to provide application functionality. These services may include: * Google AdMob * Google Play Billing * Google User Messaging Platform * Google Play Services These third-party providers process information according to their own terms and privacy policies. ## 11. Data Retention Plant records, journal entries, growth timeline information, reminders, and related application data are stored locally until you remove them. You may delete individual records from within the application. You may also use the application's data deletion function to remove locally stored Gardening Journal information. Uninstalling Gardening Journal may also remove locally stored application data, subject to your Android device and backup settings. Information processed independently by third-party services such as Google is subject to those providers' respective retention policies. ## 12. Data Deletion Gardening Journal does not currently require users to create an account. You can remove your locally stored information by: 1. Deleting individual plants, journal entries, reminders, or growth updates inside the app; 2. Using the **Delete All Data** option in Gardening Journal; or 3. Clearing the application's storage or uninstalling the application from your device. Because Gardening Journal does not currently maintain a Bikin Software cloud account containing your gardening records, there is normally no separate server account that must be deleted. ## 13. Children's Privacy Gardening Journal is a general gardening productivity application and is not specifically designed or directed toward children. We do not knowingly operate the application for the purpose of collecting personal information from children. ## 14. Security We take reasonable measures when designing Gardening Journal to minimize unnecessary collection of personal information. Most gardening records are kept locally on your device. However, no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should protect access to your device and take appropriate care when exporting or sharing files containing information you consider private. ## 15. International Users Gardening Journal may be available in multiple countries and regions. Privacy and advertising choices may vary depending on applicable laws, your region, your Google account settings, and available Google privacy controls. ## 16.
